Governance

The MEWA governance structures comprise of a Board of Trustees (BoT) chaired by Abdulwahab Ali Mwinyi and Board of Management (BOM) Chaired by Salim Ghalgan’ and a senior management team which is headed by the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The BoT is non-executive and its main duty is to act as the guardian and custodian of MEWA assets and to ensure that the organizations vision grows to fulfill its objectives.
The BOM is responsible for general governance oversight and supervision of all MEWA activities.
