MEWA Hospital has a state-of-the-art Laboratory that provides services in the region.
It offers referral services for all rare tests to other health institutions in the region 24 hours daily.
The department is subdivided into sections, specific to similar diagnostic laboratory tests. These include the Histopathology/ Cytology section, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Serology, Parasitology, Haematology & Blood Transfusion (Blood Bank), and Molecular diagnosis among others.
